Leslie Gordon, MD

Leslie Gordon, MD has joined Riverdale Eye Associates after fifteen years of Ophthalmology practice in Manhattan.  She brings expertise in Cornea, Dry Eye Treatments, Laser Cataract Surgery and Laser Vision Correction to Riverdale Eye Associates.  Dr. Gordon received her Bachelors Degree cum laude from Howard University.  She then received a full academic scholarship to attend New York Medical College.  Upon completion of her Medical Degree Dr. Gordon received the distinction of  High Honors in her surgical clerkship.   She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at New York Medical College and was selected as Chief Ophthalmology Resident at Westchester Medical Center.  After graduation, she spent a few months in India providing small incision cataract surgery to persons in need.  Her subspecialty training was in Cornea and External Disease at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital, and Fellowship training in Laser Vision Correction with Sandra Belmont, MD at the Belmont Eye Center.  She is an Assistant Clinical Attending at NYU Langone Hospitals, Lenox Hill MEETH Northwell Hospitals, New York City Health and Hospitals Harlem Hospital Center where she supervises and instructs Ophthalmology Residents in the art of surgery.  Dr. Gordon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.  

Outside of the office Dr. Gordon enjoys spending time with her husband, their children and extended family.  She enjoys cooking, gardening, swimming, and biking.
